What Ask Aevo is
Ask Aevo is an educational assistant. It explains general health concepts and helps you interpret the results in your Aevo record. It is not a clinician. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace your doctor.
How it works
Ask Aevo is powered by a third-party AI service (see our Privacy Policy for exactly what data is sent and to whom). It generates responses grounded in recognised clinical guidelines, drawn from the evidence hierarchy Aevo follows:
- NICE — default UK reference
- NHS — patient education and lifestyle
- UK Government / Chief Medical Officers — exercise, alcohol, obesity, screening
- UK Specialist Societies — BSG, British Thyroid Association, British Society for Haematology, Royal Colleges
- European Guidelines — ESC / EAS (cardiovascular, lipids)
- International Guidelines — ADA (diabetes), KDIGO (kidney), Endocrine Society (hormones), AHA, ACSM
- High-quality systematic reviews or landmark peer-reviewed studies — where no guideline exists

Limits
Ask Aevo will not:
- Handle emergencies — for anything urgent, call 999.
- Prescribe or recommend starting, stopping or changing medication.
- Diagnose a condition or rule one out.
- Replace your clinician's judgement in any clinical decision.
