Sources & Evidence

The physician-approved sources behind every biomarker interpretation, care-plan recommendation, and computed value in the Aevo Health app.

v1.0 · 29 Jul 2026Reviewed by Aevo clinical teamAligned with UK & international clinical guidelines

Aevo Health interprets clinical data — biomarkers, biological age — and generates preventive-care recommendations. Every such claim in the app links directly to the primary source below. This page is the master index, one place to see the entire evidence base at once.

Sources are drawn from a physician-approved hierarchy, listed in the next section. Anything published in the app maps to a source at one of the seven tiers.

03 · Computed valueBiological age

Aevo's biological age is computed from routine blood-chemistry markers using the PhenoAge model. It maps to the seventh tier of the evidence hierarchy — a landmark peer-reviewed study where no clinical guideline exists.

Liu Z et al. (2018) — PhenoAge: A new aging measure captures morbidity and mortality risk across diverse subpopulations. PLOS Medicine 15(12).

04 · LifestyleCare-plan recommendations

Aevo's lifestyle and preventive-care recommendations follow the guidelines below. Care-plan items are grouped-sourced rather than per-item, because they draw on multiple guidelines in combination.
